Ep 18 | Andretti Bain: Born to Run
Named after Mario Andretti, Andretti Bain was "born to run" and run fast. Andretti’s journey Motivated to make his dreams of becoming a champion a reality, he made his way to the United States for college. His path wasn’t an easy one, but with grit and faith, Andretti placed first in both the indoor and outdoor NCAA men’s 400 meter in 2008. That summer, he represented The Bahamas in Beijing, taking home the Silver in the Men’s 400 relay.
On today’s episode we cover Andretti’s unique story. From his triumphs on the world stage to his current role as a coach and mentor at Oral Roberts and Champion spirit Country Club. He shares with us how continues to inspire others to dream big, work hard, and have faith.

Ep 17 | Mark McLaughlin: Organization of High School Athletic Development
With almost 30 years of experience, Mark has worked with Olympic and professional athletes all the way to the grade school athletes. Mark is the founder of Performance Training Center and currently the head strength and conditioning coach at Lake Oswego High School in Portland.
On today’s episode Mark shares insights on how he organizes and manages the training of athletes, from 7th grade up to seniors in high school. Mark is a master of combining the objective and subjective aspects of development. He discusses the important of long term athletic development, motivating young athletes, and offers some advice to coaches getting started in high school S&C.

On this episode of the KHPP we are joined by Maggie Bryant, Vice President of Medical for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers.

Maggie shares important factors to consider when an injury occurs and details the return-to-performance system she uses to help athletes return to the court with confidence. Using an example injury, we cover the different phases of this system and how Maggie combines objective and subjective data to drive decision-making.

Ep 15 | Danny Foley: Training the Core
On this episode of the Keiser Human Performance Podcast, Danny Foley joins us. Danny is a high-performance coach and injury management specialist. He spent six years as the Head Strength Coach at Virginia High Performance, training Navy SEALs and Special Ops. He now coaches in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, working with athletes across all levels and specializing with populations battling chronic pain or injury.
Danny is also the Co-founder of Rude Rock Strength and Conditioning, an online platform offering remote-based training and educational content. On today’s episode, we sit down with Danny to discuss core training. He defines what training the core means and shares how working with injured populations led him to making core training a central focus of his programming. Danny highlights the different techniques of core training he likes to implement along with some of his favorite progressions.

Ep 13 | Randy Huntington & Ty Sevin: Reflections on Human Performance
Part I of two-part episode, joined by two special guests: Randy Huntington and Ty Sevin. Randy joins us with over 42 years of coaching experience. He’s coached some of the greatest athletes in the world, including Olympians and world record holders, Willie Banks and Mike Powell. His impact is felt around the globe – Randy has coached elite athletes many countries, including China, where he was the head coach for the National Team. With an unrivaled passion for human performance, Randy is a consultant, mentor, and educator to coaches and athletes worldwide.
Our second guest, Ty Sevin, has over 25 years of coaching experience at both the collegiate and Olympic levels. He served as the Director of the Track and Field at the USOC and as an assistant coach for Team USA. He later spent four years as the Associate Head Coach at the University of Texas coaching several All-Americans on the men’s and women’s track and field teams, including Ryan Crouser . Ty himself was a four-time U.S. Olympics Trials qualifier in javelin and is a global educator on topics of human performance.
This episode is Part I of a two-part discussion. We begin by covering training philosophies and principles, highlighting training and coaching inspirations. From there, we discuss some of the challenges of working with elite level athletes and the importance of communication. We finished Part I with Ty and Randy sharing the WHY behind their dedication to human performance.
